Gulzar Chahal is surprisingly the hot favourate among Punjabi filmmakers and audiences alike presently. Much of this can be attributed to the fact that Punjabi Cinema is in dire need of a major actor and not just the "singer turned actors" anymore. Gulzar Inder Singh Chahal has previously worked in two Punjabi films, both of them co-staring Harbhajan Mann, his friend and mentor.

Jag Jeondeya De Mele (2009) was a Super Hit at the box office and Gulzar's supporting role was applauded by everyone, his second film Yaara O Dildaara (2011) opened to mixed reviews and couldn't make much fire on the box office. His next is a Bollywood film, I Am Singh (2011), based on the aftermath of 9/11 on the Sikhs in USA. Stakes are high and we wish him luck for his debut Bollywood venture.

Immediately after his Bollywood release, Gulzar Chahal is gearing up for his next Punjabi film - Dil Tainu Karda Hai Pyaar. Directed by Ajay K Pannalal and written by the hot favourite Dheeraj Rattan, DTKHP is touted to have one of the best screenplay and a true-blue Romantic film in Punjabi Cinema. Ajay K Pannalal has previously worked as an assistant director with Manmohan Singh on films like Asa Nu Man Watna Da, Yaraan Naal Bahraan, Dil Apna Punjabi and many more. He is also known in the industry for directing several hit music videos.

DTKHP is also expected to be a musical delight. Having one of the best music director Jaidev Kumar as your brother, it is obvious that your film will have great music, adds Ajay K Pannalal. The OST has a line up of the likes of Harbhajan Mann, Babbu Maan, Feroz Khan and the latest singing sensation Shahid Mallya. 

The other cast members include Neetu, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kanwaljit Singh and Rohit Khuranna.
