Jimmy Sheirgill is a Punjabi film actor and producer. Jimmy Sheirgill made his debut as an actor in Punjabi Cinema in the year 2005 with a hit film Yaaran Naal Baharan and followed it with an average hit Mannat. In 2009, Jimmy Sheirgill starred in two of the biggest hits of the year, Munde U.K. De and Tera Mera Ki Rishta, both of which became huge blockbusters at the Box Office. In 2010, Jimmy Sheirgill cemented his super stardom in Punjabi Cinema by starring in the the biggest grosser of Punjabi Cinema of that time, Mel Karade Rabba, which is also his biggest solo success to date. In 2011, he ventured into film production and his first home production, Dharti, a bilingual political thriller starred some of the biggest names of Bollywood along with established stars from Punjabi Cinema. In 2012, he produced moderately successful Taur Mittran Di. In 2013, he produced the average success Saadi Love Story, in which he also played a cameo. He next film as an actor/producer is Rangeeley. Jimmy Sheirgill is considered to be one of the most popular movie stars in Punjabi Cinema presently.Apart from his super stardom in Punjabi Cinema, Jimmy has been a fairly successful movie star in Bollywood. He made his debut as an actor in Maachis (1996) and went on to star in critically & commercially hit films like Mohabbatein (2000), Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), Hum Tum (2004), Charas (2004), Yahaan (2005), Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), Eklavya: The Royal Guard (2007), A Wednesday! (2008), My Name Is Khan (2010), Tanu Weds Manu (2011), and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (2011).
Personal Life
Jimmy Sheirgill, (originally named as Jasjit Singh Sheirgill, ਜੀਮੀ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿਲ) was born on December 3, 1970; in a Sikh jat family in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. An year later, his family shifted to Patiala (Punjab). He studied in Punjab Public School (PPS), Nabha and further completed his graduation from Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala. He is married to Priyanka Puri of Delhi and have a son named Vir.Trivia
