Film Career

Navaniat Singh is a Mumbai based film director. He started as a chief assistant director in 2002 film Asa Nu Maan Watna Da. He worked with director Manmohan Singh in some more films before making his debut as a director in 2009 with Tera Mera Ki Rishta, which became a huge hit. His second film Mel Karade Rabba became the highest grossing film of Punjabi Cinema and established him as a leading director. His third film Dharti was the biggest multi starrer in Punjabi Cinema and became the second highest grosser of the year. His next release was Taur Mittran Di which was a moderate success but nowhere close to his first three blockbusters.

Personal Life

Navaniat Singh was born on September 8, 1979; in a Sikh family. His father is the ace cinematographer Harmeet Singh who has been in the industry for many decades. He has a brother Jitan Singh, who is a cinematographer and his wife is Mona Khanna from Ambala, Haryana.
